JLR Extends Production Halt After Cyber-Attack
Britain’s biggest automaker has confirmed a continuation of its manufacturing suspension, as it continues managing the consequences of a recently discovered security breach.
The company announced on Tuesday that production is set to stay paused up to the coming week, amid inquiries into the hack continue.
"The organization has taken this decision while our forensic investigation regarding the cyber incident proceeds, as our team assess multiple steps in the controlled restart for our worldwide processes."
The automaker added, "The organization is deeply regretful regarding the persistent disturbance this situation has created, and we will continue to update as the probe moves forward."
Assembly across Jaguar Land Rover’s plants originally halted following cybercriminals infiltrated its systems several weeks in the past.

The automaker later found that the breach has affected some data, though the company avoided from disclosing further specifics about which records was exposed.
It was stated though parties involved are set to be notified as appropriate.
