Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount will start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company intending to reveal complete information via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports suggested the company planned to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, Paramount employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not yet commented regarding the report.
